R.I.P Gerhardt Fuchs

One of the bands I have had the grace to do some work for, Maserati, has suffered a great loss. I am very sad to say that their drummer and former drummer of !!!, Jerry Fuchs, died in a tragic freak accident while trying to escape a broken freight elevator at a fundraising event.
I didn't get the chance to know him as well as many, but his overwhelming support and appreciation of me as a fellow artist is something that I will not forget.
My heart goes out to all of his friends, family, and fans.

coming soon

Coming soon...
Posters for Priestess/Early Man and Black Cobra.
Also, the finished Jeff Buckley Tribute poster and an art print version sans text.
A print show I curated, Toil and Trouble, featuring Halloween/Dia de Los Muertos-themed prints is moving to Lemmings in Bucktown thanks to kind help from my friend and fellow printer, Josh Davis.
Also, I am beginning a series of prints based on watercolors/inks of a character I often use in my work:

New print of an old piece

This piece was originally a pastel with ink and colored pencil. I liked it so much I decided to make a very limited edition print. If you'd like to buy one - go here:

Also, this is an old novelty print up for sale. Not everyone knows about my fascination with a certain R&B performer who is, unknowingly, a creative genius. Anyway, this is my homage to him - check it out.

Jeff Buckley Tribute Concert in progress

My former employer, Uncommon Ground, and my very supportive bosses there, Helen and Michael Cameron, gave me my first paid poster job for their annual Jeff Buckley Tribute Concert series. Jeff played one of his most critically acclaimed live performances at our little establishment which has since grown into a huge full-service, primarily local and primarily green-centered restaurant with a coffee bar and a music room featuring local and touring artists every night of the week. Every year, Michael and Helen host a tribute concert that Jeff's mother usually attends and I was extremely flattered to have her personally thank and compliment me on the poster that I did in the past. This year, I am once again doing the poster. Here is the line work made from a combination of ink brushwork on clayboard.

more current work

Currently, my work has been inspired by many disparate ideas - some of them are vintage/victorian Halloween imagery, childhood memories mized with sobering adulthood realities, and ritualistic imagery rooted in voodoo, santeria, and Aztec rites. Sounds weird? Well, I guess it is. Here is some of my current work - more of it will be evident in my upcoming posters for Priestess and Black Cobra.
